Here are the results of our experiment showing file transformation of a background file. The background used was reversed Bulgarian. Both Domenic and I asked our communicators to participate in this experiment by transforming the background. We both used the same background clip and both received very different responses.
Domenic recorded first, he was in Glasgow, Scotland. In his response we hear ‘We never telephone them. To make it good they saw the spirit’.
I then did my recording, I was in Nottinghamshire, England. In mine we hear ‘Who’s that? Alison, come back to me. good job Alison’.
I have also attached the reversed Bulgarian file used in the experiment which as you will see is only 23 seconds long. We both ran the background in it’s entirety and used the same make of recorder.
